You know, I've always loved Saturdays. And hey, what's not to love? It's better than Friday because you have to work and go to school on Friday. Sunday? Hell no. You're less than 24 hours from Monday.
But Saturday ...
Saturday gently shields you from reality, using Friday night and Sunday as bread in a delicious weekend sandwich. Sure, I had to work today, but it was worth it, as I made my entire New Mexico ticket in one shift. And oh, that ticket ...
Trying not to forget that I had a particularly dreadful meltdown early in the day, I cannot help but feel vindicated by making $260 and buying my ticket to see Gracie later in the day. Gracie's letter really felt wonderful to read and I am 100% convinced that all of the love and affection I have for her is mutual. God, I love her! It feels so good to say it, to type it, to think it. My baby girl that I met at such a tender age has blossomed into a strong, sexy, phenomenal woman. I am so lucky to have her ... and I'm so proud to be her man.
This day has been a roller coaster, but as it draws to a close, it leaves me tranquil and content. In less than three weeks, my baby will be in my arms -- and I will never forget that moment.
I can't wait.
